Developing Local Economies Around the World

The AED Center for International Training (CIT) has extensive experience in designing and implementing programs to promote local economic development. Through initiatives funded by USAID and other donor agencies, CIT has provided nearly 500 economic development training programs for professionals around the world. CIT also has conducted thousands of programs on democratization, healthcare reform, NGO development, youth and women's leadership and local government capacity building, among other fields.

AED - A One-Stop Shop

AED's comprehensive services to support local economic development include needs assessments, custom and off-the-shelf training interventions, technical assistance, monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, and policy consultations.

AED draws upon the rich resources of a network of over 1,500 partner organizations in many of its activities. AED's primary economic development partner is the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the premier international association dedicated to leadership and excellence in economic development.
