How to Become a Training Provider

 

Proposal Development

Strategic Technical Assistance for Results through Training (START)

 

START is an indefinite quantity contract (IQC) awarded to AED by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) under Contract #EEE-I-00-01-00010-00.

 

Under START, AED assists USAID in conducting needs assessments, developing training plans, and strengthening its monitoring and evaluation systems. AED designs and implements short- and long-term training programs in areas such as economic growth, education, NGO and private enterprise development, management and public administration, health, the environment, agriculture, and democracy and governance, among others.

 

START activities can take place anywhere in the world that USAID funds development activities: Europe, Eurasia, Africa, Latin America, Asia, the Pacific and the Middle-East. CIT currently manages START projects in the following regions and countries: Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Ukraine, Benin, Pakistan, West Bank/Gaza, Ethiopia, Mali, South Africa, Zambia, Mongolia, Eritrea, and the Caribbean and has also an activity to provide distance learning and educational technology services to USAID/Washington.  Under the predecessor contract, GTD, CIT also managed activities in Morocco, Liberia, Senegal, Nepal, Guinea, and Uganda.
