People, Energy and Development (PED) Period of Performance: AED is one of four prime contractors on USAID’s People, Energy
and Development (PED) IQC. The primary
objective of this IQC is to facilitate more effective and efficient knowledge
management in the energy sector and to establish linkages between energy
services and the strategic objectives of USAID’s three Pillar Bureaus:
Economic Growth, Agriculture, and Trade; Democracy, Conflict, and
Humanitarian Assistance; and Global Health. While highlighting the
interdependence of energy and these other sectors, work under the PED IQC
will focus on:
Specific
activity funding will be awarded through task orders that are bid and awarded
among the four IQC contractors. To date, AED has been awarded two task
orders. Summaries of these task orders
are included below. Ms.
Mary Worzala has joined AED as the PED IQC Manager, bringing nearly 20 years
of international development experience in the energy sector and a proven
record of project management, implementation and evaluation. The AED team
consists of ARS International, Energy and Security Group (ESG), Institute for
Public-Private Partnerships (IP3), International Resources Group (IRG), and
PA Consulting Group. |
