Two main areas of focus are in public health—supported by scholarships for nurses and public health officials—and small and medium enterprise development—supported by conferences, observational study tours, and scholarships. The Eritrea project provides short- and long-term training activities in the US, Eritrea, as well as in third countries. To date, CIT has assisted over 700 individuals through a variety of programs including conferences, trade fairs, seminars, and degree programs.
